Funding & Fees

Yes. All settings are expected to offer at least 1 fully funded space. We offer 3, on a means tested basis.  If you do not meet the criteria for a fully funded space, you can still access your funding but enrichment fees will apply.  Please see our funding policy and chat to us directly if you have any specific queries.

We care for children age 2-5 years

We currently have two indoor learning environments – Tiny Tractors and Curious Calves.

We also have a dedicated Forest School area and qualified Teacher.  We do not split our children based on age as we do not feel this meets their individual needs.  In our Curious Calves room, we offer further challenge for more independent learners.  Here our dedicated team support the children as they fine tune their skills of: managing risk, communicating their needs effectively and managing conflict in an age appropriate way.  Those who need a more focus on communication and language, or those who may benefit from a more nurturing environment to encourage confidence will usually be in our Tiny Tractors.

The EYFS stipulates ratios as follows. 2 year olds - 1 adult:5 children, 3 year olds - 1 adult:8 children.  However we always err on the side of caution and over staff the setting where possible.  If we have children with additional needs, we increase our staffing further.  We often also have a supernumerary staff member to assist with the smooth running of the setting and encourage 1-2-1 interactions and interventions.

7:30am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday

We offer all year and term-time only care. We are open 50 weeks of the year, with the exception of bank holidays and up to 5 staff training days.

We offer a 2 hour free settling in session, which can be taken in part or in full. You can also purchase additional hours until you feel your child has comfortably settled. For further info see our admissions policy.

We aim for a minimum of at least once per day, and as often as possible. This however, can be affected by many factors such as children's needs on any given day, the weather and environmental conditions, and the farming calendar. During term times, we have scheduled Forest School sessions 3x per week.
